Someone who would like to do nothing other than receive email on a system, does not need to have the most advanced video card, the fastest processor, or the biggest hard drive available. Here are some of the questions you should ask yourself:

How many applications will you have open at the same time?
How many people will need to access data on your system?
Do you work with graphics a great deal?
Do you deal with database programs?
Do you have a network?
Do you have high speed access to the Internet, or dial-up?
Is security a concern?
Do you work with video presentations?
Do you transfer large data files back and forth over your network?

The questions above will help to determine the RAM, video card, hard drive, Operating System, hardware, and processor speed you will need. FGW Computing will help you with all of this. There is no reason to buy the most expensive computer available, if you do not need to.
